According to past research the two most intelligent
dog breeds are the Border collie and the Poodle. The least intelligent breeds
are reportedly the Afghan hound and the Basenji.

Cats make such wonderful, long-term companions and
can live well over 20 years. Crème Puff is the oldest domestic cat on record lived three days
past her 38th birthday and still holds the title as oldest cat to
date. She was born on 3 August 1967 and died on 6 August 2005

Laika- a three-year old stray mutt- became the first
living being in space via an earth satellite in 1957. Upon re-entry into the
Earth’s atmosphere Laika died and her death sparked debates about animal rights
around the world.
