| Keira is excited to start her hike trough Petawawa Terrace... |

But fall is here and the leaves are changing in the park. She has seen these trails before...

| And the terrain is easy to navigate. |
 |
| Keira asked her daddy if they could go off the trail and explore the forest instead... |
 |
| She wanted to see new wildlife and smell new smells.... |
 |
| So Keira and her daddy left the trail behind. |
 |
| As they walked their new path the woods got thicker... |
 |
| The hills were steep and fallen trees became fun obstacles to overcome.... |
 |
| The sun poked through the tree top... |
 |
| And Keira was happy to be on a new adventure... |
 |
| She saw leaves of many colors way up high above her head... |
 |
| She hiked through grass that was taller than her... |
 |
| She felt like she was in the jungle! |
 |
| Daddy stayed close by to make sure she was safe... |
 |
| But he still let her see all the wonders the park has to offer. |
 |
| Keira listened to her daddy when they came across something strange they didn't recognize... |
 |
| They were sure not to touch it and carried on their way. |
 |
| Finally they came to a clearing.... |
 |
| And Keira was happy to see that they had made it to their destination with nothing but a compass, four paws and two feet... |
 |
| They made is to the Old Fishing Pond! |
 |
| We did it! High five! We made it through the wilderness and back on the trail. Time to go back on the leash and go home to rest! What a great day at Petawawa Terrace Provincial Park! |
