July is Wild About Wildlife Month: Introducing Wild Wednesday!
Are you feeling wild? You should be! Wednesday is Wild About Wildlife Month! Paws For Reaction is showing some love for wildlife around the world! Climate change threatens biodiversity and the effect on habitats where wildlife thrives is devastating. Wiley Molecular Ecology Resources published an integrated framework to identify wildlife populations under threat from climate change. Wildlife around the world is in danger, and animals in Ontario are not exempt from that.
Veterinary professionals, scientists, nature conservationists, and volunteers around the world are lending a hand and their expertise to support wildlife in need. They are launching stewardship programs, repopulating endangered species, fighting for protected lands, and rehabilitating wildlife at sanctuaries. Their hard work and dedication is so important.
Paws For Reaction wants to say thank you and show appreciation for these individuals and organizations. That's why I'm kicking off Wild Wednesday! I will be featuring a different wildlife rehabilitation centre in Ontario every Wednesday. I'll give you the inside scoop on what the organization is about, the animals they help, and how you can get involved! I'll also be sharing a Canadian animal fact with each post. Let's get wild!
